2023 -2024 | Anthropology Fieldwork School in Dali, China
I designed and led three intensive, seminar-style summer courses for high school and undergraduate students in China. Each course enrolled approximately ten students and centered around the theme of migration in the context of Dali, Yunnan.
Courses combined lectures in anthropological theory with daily, hands-on fieldwork mentoring. I worked individually with students at their field sites to guide the development of independent flash ethnography projects.
2025 | LaidLaw Scholars Program at Columbia College
The Laidlaw Scholars Program is a prestigious initiative that supports first-year undergraduates at Columbia College in developing independent research skills and leadership capacity through hands-on projects and mentorship.
As a Graduate Student Mentor, I guide a group of five undergraduate students (rising first-years and sophomores) through their research process by leading weekly group and one-on-one meetings. I provide discipline-specific support, offer feedback on research methodology, and help students navigate academic challenges as they develop their independent research projects and scholarly confidence.
